Blaze Telecommunications was formed in 1994 to provide low cost Internet dial-up access to BBS users in the lower mainland of British Columbia, Canada. Starting with just a few corporate clients and 20 dial-in customers, Blaze Telecommunications grew steadily to become a leader in ISP software technology and inter/intranet working solutions development. After expanding its staff to include talent from SFU and UBC, Blaze began developing networking technologies. Funding for this research came from the sale of low cost personal home computer systems.
In early 1996, Blaze began offering low cost network computer solutions to businesses in British Columbia. Examples of publicly accessible network computers designed by Blaze can be viewed at the New Westminster Public Library in British Columbia. Incorporated in 1997, over fifteen years of information technology solutions experience has lead to a specialization in information architecture consulting (customized data storage and transmission design).Originally based in New Westminster, the Blaze Telecommunications network operations centre now resides in the downtown core of Vancouver.
